Effective Management & Leadership

Designed specifically for people managers at any level, the following workshops can be delivered as stand-alone courses or as a 4-modular programme. They have been written to work generically for any industry / business type but can be tailored to your exact needs for an additional fee.
Each one-day course can be delivered virtually or in person and have been devised to develop the skills and behaviours of your managers whilst building their self-confidence and ability to manage & lead individuals and teams.
If you choose the full programme, a detailed behavioural profile will be provided for all candidates to help them understand their preferred working style, strengths, motivators, values, limitations and natural management style with an opportunity for 1:1 feedback.
The four workshops are:-
1. Key Skills for Effective Management & Leadership;
Exploration of the key differences between management & leadership, expectations of both roles, traditional theories and modern approaches and the roles of motivation, communication and engagement as a manager of people
2. Understanding yourself & others
Self-awareness is key to successful management - using behavioural profiling (administered in advance of workshop), we will explore individual behavioural and management styles, likely strengths & limitations and how this information impacts on personal effectiveness. This day also involves understanding other peoples styles and preferences and how to develop behavioural agility to work with others in a way that works for them
3. Managing Teams & Relationships
Managers work with different personalities, aptitudes and needs every day so this module further develops awareness of others, offering tools to manage a diversity of behaviours and move from challenging to thriving professional relationships. As we delve into what makes an effective team, we will bring to life traditional and more modern team theories.
4. Developing Resilience
People Managers need the ability to bounce back from tough times more than ever - this day will explore the differences between pressure and stress, how to spot signs of stress in self and others and it's impact on physical, mental and emotional health. We will then develop tools and resources to build resilience at an individual level as well as tips to support team members
